Scientists Playing God

The scientific and technological advancements of today aren't so different, per se, than the days of Babel. That generation wanted to discover what was beyond the Atmospheric sky. Humankind is a curious species that will always push the boundaries of life. So if the new thing now is cloning et al, I don't see it as playing God. It is simply part of the human psyche to push the envelop.
