THANKS FOR THE EXPERIENCE
I would be remissed if I didn't extend my gratitude and my appreciation regarding everything that I was so privy to this summer. From the first exhibit in Harlem at the Schomberg Library where I examined borders, the borders that exist regarding African people it allowed me to reexamine my own existence in this country as well as my place in the whole world being black. When I visited Philadelphia "The City of Brotherly Love" and I got to examine a plethora of interesting things from "What Determines Race" to "Measure of a Man" all of which furthered my own personal journey in life while expanding my own psyche. All of the exhibits only helped me with my Summer School experience also. Due to the fact that it gave me sources for my essay reports all of which I received A's on thanks for the grades Ms. Porsha Childs and Professor Saint Jean. The extra credit paper I did on Hottentot Venus received a check plus and my Professor wanted me to mail her a copy of my report because she found it so intriguing. By the time I got to view The Museum of Natural History I didn't have any idea at the time that my paper regarding my view of that exhibit, would be my final exam in my Psycholgy 101 class; but it was. I felt like the luckiest guy in all of CUNY and I probable was. I am so grateful for every thing that I experienced this summer this project helped me in so many ways, I am a became a student and I am sure a better person because of it as well. Thank you again Ms. Childs and Prof. Saint Jean.

Final thoughts
Life is fragile, life is brief,
Life dwindles away like a thief.
Life is intense, life puts on the spot.
Life is a boiling of emotions and needs in a pot.
We need to do this, we need to do that.
We want more of this, we want more of Nat.
We do not like pain, sickness or loss.
Ultimately, we want to be the boss.
Life seems like a procession to the grave.
We are all marching along in this parade.
mzrching to the beat of our thumping heart;
Waiting for the signal to depart.
Some useful purpose in strife,
Scrounging for cause to beat the wife.
Looking for quarrels with the man next door,
Fighting to keep everyone down and poor.
At birth, we are on the pinnacle of life,
crecesending downward at the speed of light.
men worship strength, power and size,
Because people will attack you, you soon realize.
Primarily because of greed, hatred will be born,
though instrincts to survive will also breed scorn.
Everyone is special, and they are all the while;
a curl here, a tattoo there, a special smile.
Some youth 17-23 see no significance to life,
And sometimes choose to opt out of the strife.
Unless and until man discovers and meets the almighty God
who designed and has purpose for His world,
there will be conflicts and sorrow
But, have not fear, there will be a better tomorrow.

I would like to thank the Professor and Miss Childs for the introduction to history, science, war, the evolution of nations and, art from the viewpoint of philosophy. It was very exciting to see the contributions from so many sciences, both in portraying the facts as they are, or were, and they certainly did a marvelous though expensive job.
Let digrest for a moment and explore the concept of the word black; many feel that this signifies uncertainty, danger, unknown, excitement, fear, etc, and that the word itself is denigrating. The word comes from another language and is 'niger', meaning a black color. What men fear they usually come to detest or hate, and this may have originally been the start of hatred toward Africans.
When Africans went to Europe seeking adventure, jobs, different environment, there was resentment partly because they may have taken jobs that some segment of society in Europe may have desired. The different color of their skin may have aroused this resentment to some extent. There is a significant number of older white people that will always be racial, but they are a diminishing breed.
Most people realize that to be yellow, red, white or black is the result of diet, environment, and of course ancestors, as we saw that there are black Japanese.
Life on earth takes a randomness that is evident in everything and everywhere. Any possible combination that atoms may take, they will, and this extends even to relationships among animals, and everything, everywhere.
We saw that there are quite a number of environments; aquatic, aerial, tree-top, intestinal, etc.
Man is a product of his environment, and has utilized whatever was available to survive and to survive better. The fact that the environment is now threatening his survival is alarming, however, it is felt that nature which normally has a way of restoring things will demonstrate a way to fix this problem once it becomes critical.

Musem of Natural History
Man is definitely a beast if you look at what has become of our environment, and if we all were to be on the same page of protecting our environment could it really make a different? The air we breathe is becoming toxic, the earth that we are living is deteriorating it has become scary to say the least, but to dwell on it would be just as toxic to your mental stability. I will do my part to protect the universe because I know that children are the future and I want to create a better place for them if for no other reason.

The Franklin Museum
The United States of America, with a very large population whose ancestors came from all over the earth including the original inhabitants of the New World, is genetically diverse although they are by no means genetically uniform. Furthermore, there has been an unchanging pressure from social and political practices and the twist of fate of racial, cultural and social class divisions reinforcing the social reality of race, to maintain race as a human classification. If it were admitted that the category of race is a merely social construct, it would have a destabilized legitimacy. In addition, i am a black male and since childhood have always been attracted to Black, and never white females. The basis of this is psychological. It is partly because I have always best identified with blacks than whites based on personality traits, and humans have a tendency to be attracted to people with whom they feel they can identify.

Hottentot Venus
I found it quite interesting that Europeans chose to refer to Ms Saarjite Baartman as Hottentot Venus, because in European culture Venus is defined as above and beyond the standards of beauty and she was considered quite the opposite. Black beauty has been defined by Europeans standards since time began and still continues to this day just look at the latest Urban videos the girls have gone from Mulatto, to Latino, to European. Im not against it I am for all kinds of beauty, but there seems to be no variety anymore where are all the dark skin girls at. Hottentot was an early form of mocking the black standard of beauty and since her there have been several, but isn't it funny as much as Hottentot Venus's ass was mocked European women are now killing themselves to have a bigger backside. Butt implant surgery is one of the most popular among white woman can you say Kim Kardarsian???? Just a thought what are yours.
